Toha Heavy Industries (東亜重工, Tōa Jūkō), sometimes written also as Toa Heavy Industries, is a major manufacturing and engineering corporation. The organization appears in Blame!, Biomega, and Knights of Sidonia, all of which are most likely standalone entities considering that the three series all take place in a different universe.

Toha Heavy Industries is a massive edifice or possibly vehicle separate from the megastructure. It is inhabited by humans known only as the Planters, and is the origin of the splinter group, the Electro-Fishers. It is controlled by a Central AI, and has a collective of thirteen other AIs; one controlling each cave. The Collective AI was created in an effort to prevent insanity, however, in the end it didn't work out. The Central AI shows increasingly irrational behavior with its use of teleportation technology, and its gravity furnace. The AI isolated itself from the outside using a treaty from the Authorities because of the seriousness of the Silicon Creature's disease, and excommunicated those who did. Toha Heavy Industries is crucial because the Planters may be netgene carriers.
Toha Heavy Industries had a treaty with Netsphere until it was broken by the Central AI. It prevented the Safeguard and the Authorities from operating withing Toha Heavy Industries. This is why Cibo could use Sanakan's body without problems after entering it.

Toha Heavy Industries is one of the biggest megacorporations in the world and main antogonist of DRF (Data Recovery Foundation) . This company created newest technical and biological inventions like particle-acceleration weapon or beam weapon, synthetic human and technology of "tytor" (simulation of real live, but a lot faster (1 year in real time equial to 50 years in tutor). HQ was captured by DRF and personal was infected with N5S virus, includes their main-researcher's daughter. main-researcher dr. Kurokawa was captured and tortured to get knowledge about technologies of corporation. HQ was self-detonated by security protocols 26 february 3000 A.D.
